More Orwell whilst hiatus continues
Every war when it comes, or before it comes, is represented not as a war but as an act of self-defense against a homicidal maniac.

Cynicisms, criticisms, and occassionally creative crap all consolidated in one convenient cage.

But they attacked us so it was self defense going against the Taliban. So what that we backed them against the Russian and provided much of their training and weapons and then left them to do as they please with no guidance or help in making a stable nation.
And Saddam would certainly have attacked, eventually, if he actually had any weapons of mass destruction. Besides we knew he had them in the past because we gave a lot of them to him when we backed him against the Iranian. So what that we, again, just left the situation after the war and let it go without trying to make matters any beter.
We certainly aren't to blame for any of the things that happened after we left are we? Sticking our head in the sand and ignoring the the results of our previous actions is a valid argument, isn't it?
Get off your steely thewed buns and write something! The country's going to hell in a handbasket!Where's Captain Corruption when we need him?
