Just caught Here Come The Mummies last night and I gotta rave! These are the funkiest Mummies you will ever see! Featuring a full and incredibly tight horn section filling out a 9 piece band these Mummies offer up a spooktacular tricked out treat. Two hours of fun and funk filled original tunes showcasing amazingly talented musicians with influences from and to and the , Here Come the Mummies are guaranteed to get your booty shakin and your bones bouncin. They're regional at the moment... Nashville, Chattanooga, and Indy, are their regular haunts for now, but given their incredible talent surely the Mummies will be coming soon to a stage near you.

There are some who say Here Come the Mummies are a collection of 's best studio musicians, winners of 8 between them, who work for various labels but are united in their love of . I, however, believe the tale of Professor Dumbelucke:

Professor Nigel Quentin Fontenelle Dumblucke IV unearthed the ruins of an ancient discotheque and found a dozen stank-ass fonky mummies still all up in the act of rockin' tha hizouse.

From these mummies, Professor Dumblucke learned of the powerful curse that doomed them to wander the earth throughout eternity, seeking the ultimate riff, the one that would allow these souls to finally rest after 5000 years of banging out solid fly grooves.

Here Come The Mummies CD's are slick, sound outstanding and will get any party moving... check out their samples on their website. Even better than their thrill filled studio sound, the sights and sounds of a stage full of live Mummies groovin out like they do will loosen up the worst cases of rigor mortis. So if you're in the region or they end up haunting a venue near you go out of your way to check em out.
